Gang And Youth Reentry Intervention

Engagement and Education

  • We are dedicated to guiding Skagit County's most at-risk youth toward positive engagement within their community. Our program is led by trained mentors who draw from their own lived experiences to provide support, inspiration, and meaningful connections that foster lasting change.

  • We connect students with community leaders to create meaningful relationships and foster a positive, supportive presence through social intervention.

  • The O.U.R. Journey model encompasses student intervention, support services, peer-to-peer mentoring, and the empowerment of both students and their families.

Our services

  • Our mentors are trained under the Credible Messengers Model. They are focused on cultivating racial justice through the proactive reinforcement of policies, practices, attitudes, and actions that produce equitable power, access, opportunities, treatment, impacts and outcomes for Black and Brown leaders, empowering young people and strengthening our impacted communities to collective success.

We bring this training to our group classes and 1:1 sessions, helping empowering our youth to find positive engagement within their community.

  • Strategic sessions focused on the transference of leadership skills and our “WHY” in joining gangs and power groups.

  • Helping youth, their families, and schools understand the historical policy impacts in our communities, building up to what is currently impacting us and how we evaluate our Youths’ voice to effectuate change.

  • Learning how to tap into our best selves. Understanding our trauma to promote healing in order to gain healthy, impactful relationships that produce results in all areas of our lives.

  • Building on the inherent strengths of our youth through relationships, then exploring opportunities that may have been previously unseen or unavailable and providing new opportunities to learn and do by utilizing their leadership and skill building for success in our groups and 1:1 sessions.
